I Am a Proud Owner of a Golf Course!
by Lana Gutnik
I never could have imagined this. Of course, everyone who lives in Heather Ridge Metro District No. 1 owns the Golf Course with me, and we will be able to enjoy this open space as long as we live in this area. That is why I would like to encourage everyone to help our community by getting involved.
I joined Heather Ridge Social and Marketing committee last year. This committee is responsible for coordinating meetings to inform the United Association of Homeowners about current events. We are now planning fundraisers, and other events that people of all ages will be able to enjoy. We are planning to have community events on the golf course, so more people can get acquainted, and we ask everyone to help in keeping the area clean. We welcome any suggestions and asking for your support in helping to get more people involved.
Spring is here! The days are getting longer, spring flowers will begin to bloom soon and we all can start enjoying the newly owned and operated Golf Course at Heather Ridge. Of course a lot of responsibilities come with this kind of purchase.
Our water reservoirs, tee boxes, fairways and greens are being impeccably maintained, so we can enjoy the golf course, and attract new players. In just the 3 1/2 months since the new ownership of the golf course, a new fence and roof have been installed in the maintenance facility, and numerous dead trees have been removed. Drilling of a new well on the 16th fairway is almost complete.
